'A MUST SEE FOR ANY IMPROV ENTHUSIASTS'

Review of 'LIGHTS! CAMERA! IMPROVISE!'
By Andrew Jeffery for

Festival revelers looking for a vibrant show with a talented cast can do no better than seeing The Scat Pack perform at the C Venue on Chamber Street. Lights! Camera! Improvise! offers the audience the unique proposition of dictating the genre, setting and title of the hour-long performance. This particular crowd placed the cast of eight in a gangster film set in a New York libruary and police station. The randomness of the audience's suggestions ensures that each performance is unique from night to night. The cast display excellent chemistry with each other and move about the stage and utilize props with ease and comic grace - astounding given the short notice of character assignment and setting.

The impressive performers are not only funny, but display immense talent as they play multiple characters throughout the show. They're guided by host Oscar, who uses his remote control to pause and play the act while adding his own twists to the plot. His humerous observations and audience interaction keeps the pulsating flow and momentum going from start to finish. This show is a crowd pleaser, and one for anyone looking for a wholesome and fun hour of unpredictable comic experience that thrives on crowd excitement and participation. A must see for any improv enthusiasts.
