PLEASE NOTE: To book in advance you must book at least 24 hours before the workshop.

The classes are tailored to the people that attend each week and is perfect for impro beginners looking to pick up the basics as well as more advanced improvisers looking to hone their talents.

PRIVATE IMPRO WORKSHOPS
The Scat Pack can provide a vast range of different improvisation workshops to suit your needs. We’ve worked with people aged six to sixty teaching them all the skills needed to be a good improviser.

The core skills required to be a good improviser are all excellent life skills. The essential cornerstones are: listening, accepting and committing to your own and other people’s ideas, thinking on your feet, working well under pressure and presenting yourself well in a public setting. Plus the practice of improvisation, performance and storytelling is a fantastic teambuilding and confidence boosting experience.

So, whether you’re looking to improve performance improvisational skills directly, gain performance experience of a new and exciting kind or just strengthen a team from any walk of life a workshop from The Scat Pack could very well be the answer.

ISSUE-BASED & EDUCATIONAL IMPRO WORKSHOPS
The Scat Pack has recently developed a series of workshops for young people exploring social issues. The workshops we have developed so far include: Team-building, Anti-bullying, Drug & Alcohol Abuse, Conflict Resolution, Internet Safety & Cyberbullying, Domestic Violence Awareness and Dating & Healthy Relationships. We believe its essential for young people to engage with these issues in a social, practical and interactive way. Using improvisation, roleplay and drama-based teaching our experienced workshop leaders bring these challenging subjects to life in an enjoyable and accessible way.

We have had great success presenting our range of issue based workshops in schools around the UK and are keen to expand the range too. We can adapt the workshops to cater for students of any secondary school age and can work with you make it fit with the rest of your school's social education classes. Make social learning dynamic with one of our issue-based workshops.

PRIVATE WORKSHOP SHOWS
Specifically for younger people or people who already have stage experience The Scat Pack offer something that’s in between a workshop and a show. The session can take several different shapes as you require but in this kind of session along with learning key improvisational skills members of the group will perform along side a few of The Scat Pack improvisers.

The session is led by one of our ‘live directors’, accompanied by our improvising musician and the group will perform with at least two of The Scat Pack’s improvising company. Depending circumstances we can provide lighting, sound and special effects equipment to enhance the performance element of the session. Working directly on stage with experienced improvisers is a great way to learn as well as being really good fun.

PRIVATE, CORPORATE & UNIVERSITY SHOWS
The Scat Pack can be booked to perform at parties, private and public events and corporate functions.  Providing there is a small space for us to perform and people to watch we can provide entertainment suited to your needs from presenting one of our shows for an hour at conference to improvising jazz songs all afternoon at a fete. Whatever your need for impromptu entertainment we'll make something up for you.
